What we do

Habitat For Lake Shore Communities supports people in Kalangala District to improve their livelihood!

We exist to improve housing for Kalangala people, and ensure that the sick are well taken care of. We also have our helpline offices that can be approached at any time.

We Provide ARVS & Condoms

We make sure that drugs for HIV/AIDS patients are available. We provide condoms to our health facilities so that our people can access them for free

We Give Mosquito Nets & Bedding

Insectcide-treated bed nets are a form of personal protection that has been shown to reduce malaria illness, severe disease, and death

We Give Clean Water

Many people used to just get water directly to their cups. This increased diseases like Bilharzia so we decided to bring in purifiers to help clean water and make it ready for drinking

We Construct Pit Latrines & Washrooms

People used to run to the lake whenever they wanted to ease themselves. This contaminated water, made them sick all the time. We now construct proper latrines and washrooms for them to use

We Build Homes

Many people were homeless because they couldn’t afford to pay for rent. We help these by putting up simple but good structures for them to have the shelter that they need.

How we care!

Bringing clean water to our community

People can now have clean water to use for drinking, cooking, and bathing.

Most of them were abandoned by their relatives and left alone with no hope and yet they lack the strength to work.

We take care of the elderlies in our community.

We improve housing for the Kalangala people

Many people didn’t have where to sleep, and those who had, houses were almost falling on them, with no good toilets and washrooms, poor kitchens
